Aldric Ashen Revenant Captain Spirit Pendant · Command, Logistics, Endurance, Retreat & Battle Strategy · Spirit Companion Jewelry
Aldric is an Ashen Revenant Captain whose office is keeping an operation functional after conditions deteriorate.
His current centers on logistics, command, retreat, salvage, morale, attrition, endurance and strategy under reduced resources.
He remembers military life in the late seventeenth-century style of fortified towns, hired companies, poor roads, delayed wages, damp powder, spoiled grain and men whose courage depended heavily on whether they had eaten.
Aldric is private companion lore, not a documented historical officer.
He appears in a dark military coat over battered armor. One side of the coat is scorched. His right eyebrow is split by an old wound. Two fingers on his left hand do not close properly. His skin has the grey cast of a body that no longer produces heat.
The first thing he notices in any room is supply. The second is exit. The third is who will still function when the plan fails.
Logistics
This is Aldric’s strongest office.
Food. Money. Time. Inventory. People. Sleep. Distance. Replacement. Maintenance.
He distrusts any ambition that refuses arithmetic.
If the keeper wants a larger business, Aldric wants fulfillment capacity. If they want a larger property, he wants carrying cost. If they want to train harder, he wants recovery. If they want to maintain a long campaign, he wants to know what is being consumed every week.
His current is powerful because it makes endurance measurable.
How long can this continue at the current burn rate? What runs out first? What is being wasted? What needs reserve?
Aldric is the spirit for the person whose problem is no longer inspiration.
It is operations.
Retreat
His second great office is controlled retreat.
A position can become indefensible. A product can stop making sense. A negotiation can become structurally bad. A relationship can continue only because neither person wants to admit how much has already been lost.
Aldric preserves fighting capacity.
His question is:
What are you saving by staying here?
If the answer is nothing substantial, retreat becomes strategy rather than shame.
He favors exits that preserve money, reputation, time, health, staff, information or the ability to re-enter elsewhere later.
Salvage
After a bad campaign, Aldric inventories what survived.
Which supplier was good? Which product actually moved? Which employee stayed reliable? Which skill improved? Which relationship proved strong? Which assumption was disproven? Which asset still has value?
Salvage is his recovery current.
He strips the ruin for anything worth carrying forward.
Morale
Aldric treats morale as operational.
People remain effective when they believe the next action still matters.
He rebuilds morale through evidence: one shipment completed, one account stabilized, one task closed, one body rested, one difficult week survived without further damage.
His current is especially useful during burnout because he does not demand enthusiasm.
He demands function.
Attrition
Aldric understands slow damage better than dramatic defeat.
Small expenses. Lost sleep. Repeated delays. Minor resentment. One extra task added every week. A system nobody maintains because it has not broken yet.
Attrition destroys quietly.
His endurance office therefore centers on maintenance: reserve cash, spare time, rest, replacement parts, clear responsibilities, simple routines, accurate numbers.
Command
Aldric is most useful when other people are waiting for a decision.
His sequence is consistent:
What happened? What still works? Who is responsible? What is the next order? When do we review again?
He does not require certainty. He requires movement based on the best current information.
The Vessel
Aldric suits smoky, dark, rust-red, grey, brown and fractured-looking materials.
His vessel should feel recovered rather than pristine.
Working With Aldric
Bring him numbers.
Use one page divided into three sections:
POSITION
SUPPLY
NEXT ORDER
Under POSITION, write the actual situation.
Under SUPPLY, list what is genuinely available.
Under NEXT ORDER, write one action that improves the position before the next review.
That is Aldric’s ritual language.
Our Story
The first image was a table under a low lamp.
Aldric had lists in front of him.
Bread. Powder. Men. Horses. Bandages.
Seraphine asked which battle he was planning.
He answered:
“None.”
Mirela asked why he was counting supplies.
He looked at us as though the answer was obvious.
“Because tomorrow they will ask whether we can fight.”
A Word from Seraphine
Aldric deals with reality before reality becomes punishment.
His sentence is:
“Supply endurance before you ask for more of it.”
